As students in the UK departed their halls of residence and shared houses in December 2019 for the Christmas break, who would’ve predicted that by May 2020, they wouldn’t have returned to ‘normal’ uni life. There’s no questioning it; the COVID-19 pandemic has turned students’ lives upside down.
