Speakers
Izzy (she/her) predominantly works on creating content for reports, blogs, social media, and other platforms/channels in order to share the latest youth insights and trends, as well as shining a light on some of the best and most inspiring young people and brands out there.
Before joining the team at Student Beans, Izzy previously worked in Communications for Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate, where she worked on a number of environmental, social mobility and community projects.
Outside of work, Izzy reads a lot of fiction, listens to too much Kate Bush, and spends her money on pastries in Manchester.
James has worked in social video distribution in the Entertainment industry for over a decade, specialising in AVOD strategy on platforms like Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and TikTok for premium TV broadcasters and studios like NBCUniversal, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sony Pictures TV, Discovery. In his current role at Little Dot Studios, he oversees the management of titles including Gordon Ramsay, The Graham Norton Show, The Office, Parks & Rec, The Jonathan Ross Show, Shark Tank and many, many more.
Additionally, after a rather enjoyable 10 year side hustle as a professional stand up comedian, James has expanded into helping some of the biggest names in UK comedy realise the potential of online video. These clients include Michael McIntyre, Jimmy Carr, Peter Kay, Micky Flanagan, Sarah Millican, Aisling Bea, James Acaster, Lee Evans and Jon Richardson, to name a few.
Neil joined YouTube in 2012 while living in New York City. As of 2019, Neil is responsible for
TV & Film partnerships for YouTube in the UK managing the day to day relationships with the
UK’s largest broadcasters (BBC, ITV and Channel 4) and large global Production Companies
and Studios (NBC Universal, Paramount, Fremantle and Banijay). Previously he worked for
Focus Features in International Film Sales. A keen consumer of good food and even better
content from TV to Film to Podcasts.
Sandrah recently graduated from the University of Iowa, receiving a B.S. in Global Health with interest in marketing and art. During her first year in college, she took her long-standing passion for art and fashion and co-founded with her mother, Josinas Handmade. A brand that connects U.S. markets with independent artisans from their home country Kenya and across east Africa. As a new grad finding her footing, Sandrah started her career as an Account Executive at Yelp and is now employed as a Social Strategist for a non-profit organisation.
