About the role

About the Role

As a result of incredible success and the return of live events the YMS event is back and we are looking for a Delegate Sales Executive to join Student Beans and help conquer the rest of the world and build an audience of senior brand marketrers.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for the acquisition of new and repeat attendees across all territories, bringing on board leading agencies and brands.   • Leading, prioritising and designing solutions for yourself and junior team members independently.
  • Build efficient and reliable data pipelines, ingest and transform data sets using SQL, Python & AWS
  • Architect and manage a scalable data warehouse using AWS Redshift working alongside our team of analytics engineers
  • Investigate, test and introduce new ways of working and technologies where appropriate
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Help to instil a self-serving data-driven culture across the business

About You

We’d really like to hear from you, if you have a minimum of 3+ years of technical experience in:

  • SQL Databases
  • Programming in SQL and Python. Terraform would be great but not essential!
  • Data transformation in DBT
  • Pipeline orchestration in Apache Airflow
  • Amazon S3 Data storage
  • Data warehousing in AWS Redshift
  • Experience working with event level web/app analytics data (experience with Snowplow would be advantageous).
  • Strong interpersonal skills

About the role

Student Beans are recruiting for a brand new Senior UX Researcher to join our Product Design team. You’ll be responsible for a wider strategic initiative per quarter, with a key objective of enhancing the reputation, value and standing of the UX Research function. You will be co-creating and evangelising its processes, and providing timely insights that’ll drive the product roadmaps.


Responsibilities include:

  • Evangelising and coaching on user research concepts, methods, tools and techniques to create great user outcomes.
  • Share user insights with the wider business and externally in creative ways to increase trust in our products and promote the Product Design team.
  • Planning and carrying out user research activities, including moderated and unmoderated research.
  • Coordinate strategic user research initiatives that span product teams.
  • Deliver actionable insights, Identify user needs and inform design decisions.
  • Coach Product Managers, Marketers and Designers in how to undertake research projects and in how to create strategic deliverables (such as journey maps, storyboards, and personas).
  • Evolve our UX Research processes, documentation, and repositories.
  • Some light mentoring of our UX Researcher

Requirements

  • 5+ years in a product-focussed User Research (or related) role.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Experience integrating user research into product designs.
  • Confident in knowing how and when to show user research insights.
  • Strong ability in knowing how much detail to go into for different stakeholders.
  • Can demonstrate experience of coaching others on research practices.
  • Experience with modern UX platforms (such as UserZoom, UserTesting, Dovetail, Lookback).
  • You need to be collaborative, analytical and empathetic
